After getting some Q:Electronics ear buds (http://www.amazon.com/Q-electronics-Noise-isolating-Ear-Buds/dp/B002MXWNRG/ref=cm_cr-mr-title) that were pretty nice, I decided to see what else this new brand I'd never heard of had to offer.Based on the ear buds, their quality seemed pretty decent and their prices really competitive, so my search brought up this screen cleaner kit.

Pros:
1.The first thing that caught my eye (which it probably has for you by now that you've seen this product listing) is the aesthetics of the product. This product has a very modern, sleek design that looks really cool next to my Sony Bravia TV.I've had other screen cleaning kits before that I have to just shove in to a drawer because I don't want it out because it just looks ugly, but this kit is actually something that I don't mind keeping out next to the TV.The nice thing about keeping it out is that I actually use the kit regularly (like more than just once every 2-3 months.)Being in a dusty environment, I need to continually clean the screen and now its not to much of a bother.I've also been using this with great results on my computer monitors.
2.The kit actually ships pretty compact and the stand just snaps together in about 2 seconds and the kit is pretty much ready to use.
3.The instructions were decent--actually showing recommended use of the kit, i.e. brush off the larger particulate with the soft-bristled brush and then using the triangle pad to clean off the screen.
4.The triangle pad actually does really well in getting in to the corners--like the design a lot.
5....and of course, what most people really care about most...DOES IT LEAVE STREAKS?So far so good on the streak front--I've been using this kit for a couple weeks and so far I am getting streak-free results from using the kit.The spray is actually pretty good on other things too.I have some stainless steel appliances that it works great on to polish up.I just don't know how it will look after several months of use and the pad starts to get dirty.I will likely have to find a way to clean off the pad to keep it from just spreading dirt around. The other key thing on using this kit is not to get the screen (or pad) too wet. When it has a chance to clean and buff together, then it works best on preventing streaks. If you get the screen too wet, you may still end up with streaks, so just use this in moderation--enough to get the job done.I think this concept applies to many screen cleaning kits.

Cons:
As good as this kit is, there are a couple points I want to bring up that would help improve it some.
1.I would like to have a nice micro-fiber cloth with the kit that I can use for some small touch-up work (in case I did end up with a streak or two); I think adding a cloth would be a nice addition.Micro-fiber cloths are relatively cheap anyway, so it isn't a big deal to just get a separate cloth--would just be nice if it did come with the kit.
2.I'm not quite sure what to do when I need a re-fill on the spray.I will check back on Amazon to see if Q:Electronics has added some re-fills for the spray themselves, or possibly just go straight to the distributer (HandStands) or manufacturer (Q:Electronics)to see what they can do for re-fills.

Overall, I highly recommend this product and I've been impressed with this out-of-nowhere brand.I may try out their mobile device screen cleaning kit for my Blackberry and Digital Cameras since they are always getting stuff on their screens...stay tuned!

The Toshiba LCD TV/DVD set had great possibilities for our RV. The picture was great...then its downfall...In turning the volume up to its highest setting "50" it was still hard to hear even when sitting two feet from the screen. We tried a couple of DVD's with no luck. Same low volume on an otherwise stunning pictured LCD TV set...Returning it tomorrow with Amazon's foolproof buyers satisfaction guarantee...If you want to hook it up to a sound system you might be very satisfied with it...we just don't
have room in our RV for that type of hookup...

Bush Furniture Napa TV Stand Review

The furniture is of good quality but the spaces are rather small.Check out the measurements carefully for your components before buying.I can only fit 4 components, 1 in each shelf.

My biggest complaint is those DAMN stickers they use to ID the parts. It is quite a task to remove them. They are paper and they tear and layer off.

Big Kudos to BUSH customer service. It was shipped directly from Bush and 2 pieces got damaged, 1 of them being the top piece (the largest and heaviest part). They sent me a replacement with no questions in 3 days!!!

Overall I would recommend it, especially for under $300 with delivery.

I bought one of these at a Sam's Club store for $700 and I haven't been disappointed so far! Set-up was a breeze, and a 480i A/V connection looks pretty good (even better with an S-video connection) when hooked up to a standard-definition DIRECTV receiver. The unit has two composite (with S-video) and component inputs, a VGA computer input, and three HDMI inputs. Plus the TV includes multiple advanced audio inputs and an RF connection that can decode analog, digital, and HDTV signals. What's amazing about this input is that we once hooked up an old "rabbit-ears" to it and then the TV received 1080i HD signals! My son hooked up his Xbox and Wii to the TV with component cables and the picture looks great. We also connected an HDMI cable to our new Memorex HDMI DVD Player and that looks great too. But the best picture we've seen yet was when we hooked up an HDMI cable to my son-in-law's PlayStation 3. The picture looked outstanding! I've yet to buy a Blu-Ray Player and an HDMI home theater system but we'll get one soon! Probably the only downside to this TV is the contrast ratio. Vizio TV's have been known to have low contrast ratios, and this makes all video signals just a teeny bit fuzzy. Don't get me wrong though, this unit is as great as other Sony and Panasonic TV's!

Pros:
-1080p resolution via HDMI is amazing
-Tons of inputs!
-Works with a PC resolution of 1920x1080 (1080p)
-Audio is better than our older Sony TV in the other room
-Built for advanced Dolby and SRS audio

Cons:
-Low contrast ratio
-Fuzzy picture on 480i and 480p
-Doesn't work with all available PC resolutions

There are a few downsides about this TV, but it is excellent! If you are looking for a cheap HDTV with 1080p, you've found the right one for you!

GE 24703 Passive Flat Panel Antenna Review

I got this GE antenna at Target.I didn't want to spend much money to replace an older antenna that was for analog signals.I was actually very surprised how well this GE antenna worked.I hooked it up to a TV on a first floor and it worked very well.It picked up all the local stations, including PBS, which I had trouble getting before.I then tried this antenna on a second floor TV and it worked just as well.I have more expensive antennas that don't work nearly as well. The GE antenna is nice because it's small, slim, unobtrusive, and won't be as noticeable as some antennas.I would definitely suggest buying this!

I just received this TV today. So far so good. I was seriously confused between 46b650 and 46b630 and I am very happy that I got 630. Since my room has good ambient light, I was looking for anti glare screen and 630 is a perfect fit. 650 is too glossy for my setting, it is very good for dark room setting but otherwise glare could be very annoying. Yes, 630 has 80000:1 vs 100000:1 for 650 and I did notice the slight difference in contrast. I am yet to tweak picture settings. I got this from Vanns for $1530, got it in 5 days with free shipping and free wall mount.

Samsung LN-R238WA 23-Inch Widescreen HDTV-Ready Flat-Panel LCD TV Review

Samsung LN-R238WA 23 inch Widescreen HDTV-Ready Flat-Panel LCD TV

I bought this TV as a do-it-all device. I wanted to get a FP LCD monitor for my computer, and I was looking into panels that had multiple inputs. I wanted to be able to use it to play games and watch DVDs as well be able to use it for my computer. I figured while I was at it I might as well equip myself with something that can handle HD signals and I can watch tv on as well. The following is my take on its performance in said areas:

PC:
As a computer monitor it works very well. I am EXTREMELY picky about this type of thing and I wouldn't say it was good if it wasn't. I use it primarily as a PC monitor and I would rate it's pc performance a 4 out of 5. To get the best picture you need a decent video card and a decent VGAcable(read: WUXGA or UXGA and some cases SXGA because of the high resolution of the panel). DVI->HDMI does not display well, you can use it in a pinch, but it will not look right, the tv was not designed to use this as a pc input. VGA works just fine, but you have to be sure you enable your resolution to match the native resolution of the monitor (the same is true with ANY LCD FP if you want the best picture quality). The native resolution of the panel is 1366x768... you can enable 1360x768 and it will chop 3 pixels (you dont lose any visual data, it just doesn't use these pixels) off of each side. Look for a program called "powerstrip" if you can't get your desktop to accept that resolution by default. If you choose not to use a widescreen desktop, then set the monitor picture size to 4:3 instead of Wide and use a desktop resolution of 1024x768 (the height of 768 ensures that you are still using native pixels). If you have trouble getting games to run at 1360x768 this is also a good option (set the game res to 1024x768 and change the picture size on the monitor).

The picture quality is crisp and clear. There can be some very minor "ghosting" effects around certain colors/texts which can be aggrevated by a poor quality VGA cable. For the most part you will not notice this unless you sit extremely close to the panel or you display odd color combinations (i.e. fine bright blue text on a black background blurrs a little bit). As I said, I am extremely picky about this type of thing and if it was bothersome enough to return the monitor, I would. As with most LCDs it favors red a little bit and sometimes there can be a bit of boldness/bleeding on strong red in tight spaces (like a bright red bolded font).

As far as pc games go it performs beautifully. Games are crisp, vibrant and clear. Best of all there is no response time "ghosting". This is something I was very concerned about because I play a lot of CS, BF2, etc. This monitor responds just as quickly as my CRT. I noticed absolutely no ghosting.

Note: Most games today have command line options to set their resolution to special/custom sizes. The widescreen res you are looking for is 1360x768. Some games (like CS1.6) do not specifically support 1360x768 but do have wide aspect resolutions that still work well, but there is slight interpolation using non-native resolutions that will cause things to look a little different (still very very playable). And if all else fails you can always use 1024x768 and set the monitor to 4:3.

Games:
When not using it as a pc monitor I use it mostly to play PS2 and Xbox. I purchased component cables for both (which I would highly recommend) so I will comment on that.

Both systems are very crisp and very clear. There is NO ghosting whatsoever and I read that others had problems with delay in response and lag between input and action on-screen. I have noticed no such thing. Again, I am extremely discerning about this type of thing and if that were the case, I would have returned it. Perhaps they had faulty panels or were using odd input sources. As far as component goes, they play VERY well. Again I would rate this 4 out of 5 because I have noticed a strange problem with PS2 displays. In certain PS2 games when there is very fine detail or there is some type of filter/mask/blur effect in the game, the panel seems to display it incorrectly. Its really hard to give an example, but its like if there is a blur effect on a shiny object, instead of the blur being uniform and fading, it has something of a checkerboard pattern. It is akin to trying to reproduce 32-bit color in 24 or 16-bit mode on a computer... it takes the two closest colors and checkerboards them together so that it seems like its one solid color. I have only noticed this in a handful of games, and even in those games it is usually restricted to whatever the softening/blurring effect is on. If you want a good example, pop in Final Fantasy Tactics for PS1. The game seems to have a full screen blur on it, I suppose to soften the sprites and make it more fluid. However, when using component cables (I have tried 2 different cables) the screen just seems to have a checkerboarded pattern instead of a fluid/smooth fading/softening to it. A minor gripe (except for in FFT since it takes up the whole screen) but a gripe none the less. I dont know if its the panel itself, the way the PS2 outputs to component, or perhaps just my panel. But I can say that I dont notice it on Xbox or on the pc. The only other game on my desk that I can think of that displays the problem is Mega Man X8 (which looks sweet in progressive mode, just hold down X and triangle as the game boots). Around some parts of the characters (easily seen on Zero's sigma blade) there is a shine/blur effect and it does the same thing.

TV:
I dont have HDTV or digital cable for that matter, so the standard signal is decent at best. Very watchable, but it performs like all LCDs do when using a non-digital/HD signal. No gripes.

DVD:
Crisp, clear and vibrant. I don't have component cables for my dvd player so I havent watched any in progressive scan yet, but via PC and PS2 (SCPH30001, no progressive) it looks fantastic (I think I actually prefer the PS2). I can only imagine it with a pro-scan set top.

Bottom line:
As long as your panel is in working condition and you have the right equipment for it, it makes a dynamite PC and videogame monitor. Thats the whole reason I bought it so I can assure you that I am very critical about those features. I don't know why other reviews are stating it doesn't perform in those areas when it does. Don't be shy of this model if you want to use it for a PC, games, dvd or a TV. It shines in all categories, its not extremely expensive and its about the perfect size as an all-in one without being too big a monitor or too small a TV. I recommend it.

Product Description:
Isn't it time your home office, dorm, kitchen, or bedroom went high-def? Samsung's 23-inch LN-R238W LCD television lets you enjoy not only regular TV, but full HD images from any high- or enhanced-definition source. Its suite of state-of-the-art connections accommodate a wealth of associated equipment, such as a DTV set-top box, a progressive-scan DVD player, and even your PC. Samsung's Patterned Vertical Alignment (PVA) screen provides high brightness and amazingly rich contrast for lifelike images and realistic colors. A mere 3.5 inches thick without its detachable stand, the TV produces exciting, perfectly flat, images while occupying minimal space in your office, living room, bedroom, or kitchen.
Samsung's DNIe™
Samsung's revolutionary DNle™ (click for demo) technology offers digital perfection in naturally presented, crystal-clear images that uncover even the most minute detail.
Motion Optimizer
Fast-moving images are optimized to producemore natural-looking motion, thus reducing video noise or blurring.
Contrast Enhancer
Brightness and contrast levels are enhanced for deeper, richer blacks with greater detail and more natural whites.
Color Optimizer
Colors are reproduced with a more lifelike realism, whites are more accurate, and skin tones are given a more natural hue.
Detail Enhancer
DNIe analyzes video signal elements to produce sharper detail, clearer image separation, and more natural edge transition. The set boasts a 1,366 x 768 pixel resolution. Its widescreen, 16:9 aspect ratio matches the dimension of most movies and HDTV broadcasts, while its wide, 170-degree viewing angles (horizontal x vertical) ensures everyone in the room will enjoy a great view, even when you've mounted the unit on a wall. A built-in brightness sensor automatically adjusts the TV's luminance for the ambient brightness of a given room.
Onboard 10-bit processing produces 3.2 billion lifelike colors and aids in video signal processing for your analog sources. And with its lightning-quick 12 ms response time, astronomical 3,000:1 contrast ratio, impressive 500 cd/m2 brightness rating, and onboard 3D Y/C digital comb filter (which separates the color signals to minimize dot crawl and blurred edges), you'll see sharp, focused images regardless of their source.
LCD screens offer a number of benefits over CRT monitors and televisions, including general ease of use, freedom from eye strain (no screen flickering or radiation emissions), quiet operation (no high-pitch "flyback" noise, an issue with CRT TVs), accurate image geometry (no curvature distortion or susceptibility to magnetic interference from, say, speakers), long screen life, space savings, and light weight/easy positioning. They also tend to be more affordable than their flat-panel plasma counterparts, which often (though not always) offer faster response times and higher contrast ratios.
The LN-R238W's DNIe (Samsung Digital Natural Image engine) offers a vision of digital perfection in natural, crystal-clear images that reveal even the most minute detail. The process involves 4 key enhancements: contrast and brightness (for deep, rich blacks and natural whites), motion (which optimizes fast-moving images to produce natural-looking motion, reducing video noise or blurring), color (for lifelike realism, accurate whites, and skin tones with natural hues), and detail (DNIe analyzes video signals to ensure sharp detail, clear image separation, and natural edge transitions).
Samsung's patented My Color Control technology lets you control specific colors without affecting the whole screen. Samsung provides 6-color control selections: white, red, pink, yellow, green, and blue. It's your picture--you decide how it looks. Samsung's PVA screen permits brighter whites than standard TFT LCDs, as well as deeper blacks and every shade in between.
The LN-R238W makes flexibility a top priority, giving you several preset picture and sound modes (and custom settings for each). The TV also permits color temperature adjustment for warm, cool, or neutral tones, along with 4 onscreen languages to choose from (English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese). Choose one of several preset sound modes (standard, music, movie, speech, and custom) for broadcast through the set's built-in speakers (10-watts-per-channel x 2).
Connections include 2 component-video inputs (480i/480p/720p/1080i), a direct-digital HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface), a PC input (15-pin D-Sub with minijack analog audio), 2 composite-video inputs, 1 S-video input, 1 RF input, 5 attendant sets of stereo (left/right) RCA audio inputs, and 1 stereo RCA audio output. The set's Anynet (RS-232C) control option simplifies use with other Samsung audio/video components.
Other features include single-tuner picture-in-picture (view 1 TV channel and 1 input source simultaneously), a sleep timer, V-Chip parental control, closed captioning, and an auto volume leveler to minimize jarring differences in loudness between, say, TV programs and their commercials.
What's in the Box
TV, detachable stand (with screws), a remote control, remote batteries, an RF video cable, a user's manual, an Anynet AV manual, an AC power cord, a cover bottom, an Anynet cable, a cleaning cloth, and warranty information.
