(More customer reviews)I was a little leery of ordering this new 2010 model that didn't yet have full specifications or other product information available.If it was any brand other than Toshiba, which I've had great experiences with, I would have waited or moved to a different product.
Anyway, I'm glad I did order this model 32E200U TV.Ordered from Amazon for a great price, it arrive in three days, in perfect packaging and brought right to my door by my friendly UPS driver. Unpacking and "assembly" was a snap - there really isn't much to do other than attach the stand, connect the cables, install the remote batteries, and turn it on.It asked a few simple set-up questions, scanned all my cable channels (finding some I didn't know I had access to), and was ready to go.The remote is super clear and simple to use, everything works, and the picture is great.Black is truely black, color is well balanaced, the image is bright, people and their clothes are their correct colors, and the sound is really quite good.We have a standard 480i cable connection, a 1080i upconverted DVD, laptop streaming NexFlix, and bluray.All work perfectly and switching between inputs is seemless.It has plenty of HDMI inputs (4) in addition to analog, digital, and cable.
Can't say much else, other that to strongly recommend this product.Buy it, you'll like everything about it.

To adapt 24 frames-per-second movies to 30 fps video, frames in the original movie must be duplicated; 3:2 pulldown digitally corrects this duplication by removing the redundant information to display a frame-accurate picture.

TheaterWide 1: Letterboxed image is digitally expanded 33 percent horizontally and vertically. Useful for reproducing Academy Standard (1.85:1) formatted software.
TheaterWide 2: Letterboxed image is expanded 33 percent horizontally and 42 percent vertically. Particularly of use when viewing narrow letterboxed images originally filmed in Panavision or CinemaScope.
TheaterWide 3: Letterboxed image is expanded 33 percent horizontally and 24 percent vertically. Can be utilized when displaying letterboxed images that incorporate narrow bands at the top and bottom of the picture.

With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience.
If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.
