(More customer reviews)I didn't think finding the right wall mount would be such a difficult task. All I wanted to do was hang a standard 42" TV on a wall. The trick for me was that I have a stud right in the center of where I wanted to hang the TV and doors surrounding the area, leaving only a 48" opening. So I needed a mount larger than 33" that would span 3 studs and smaller than 40" so it doesn't show from behind the TV. This one fit the bill perfectly. Very solid, sturdy mount. Your basic wall plate with two brackets, but that's all I was looking for. And the price is right...

How to check whether this mount fits my TV? First check the weight of your TV. It must be less than 175 lbs. Second, look at the back panel of your TV. If your TV has 4 holes or 6 holes on the back of the screen, you need measure the vertical and horizon distance between the holes, as shown below. If the vertical distance is within 2.95" - 18.9" (75 mm- 480mm), horizon distance within 35" (890mm), then this bracket will fit. If you currently have a stand attached to your LCD TV this is usually removed prior to fitting the wall mount. Third, the width of your TV should be 36 inches or above. Otherwise the mount is too wide to hide behind your TV. Only for black color.
